Getting Up to Speed: Full-Time Student, Full-Time Workshop Planner
Hey everyone, it's a new semester, and I'm feeling the energy of a new project! I'm a full-time student, but I'm also diving headfirst into something I've been dreaming of: planning design workshops specifically for my fellow full-time students. This isn't just about a grade; it's about building a foundation for the future of design.
I'm starting something I’ve never promoted on my platforms before. It’s a huge step for me, and I’m doing it with the full support of my family, right here from my home in Washington, D.C. This city is a hub of ambition and innovation, and it feels like the perfect place to launch this.
The vision for these workshops is rooted in the lessons I’ve been learning, both in the classroom and in life. I see this journey as a blend of the wisdom of the Teacher, the focused power of the King of Swords, and the methodical diligence of the Knight of Pentacles. This is about harnessing the drive of Mars to build a Throne of Knowledge and taking a Methodical Approach to every single detail.
My main goal is to create a safe and comfortable space for future designers. College can be a whirlwind, and it’s not always easy to build a genuine network. We’re working on a system to ensure that every student has an equitable network and the chance to complete assignments that truly level the scale of impression. My hope is to build a relationship of loyalty and trust with professors, creating a strong foundation for a future reunion—a reminder of why we came to college in the first place, captured in a cinematic, "eye-picture" film.
Speaking of college experiences, I was laughing with my peers on Fizz the other day. They're talking about throwing a massive "70s, 80s, and 90s Nostalgic Party." It’s that kind of community spirit that makes everything worthwhile. It’s a fun idea, but it also ties into a deeper purpose for me: creating a safe space.
As an admin, I feel a great sense of responsibility. My zodiac sign, Taurus, often connects with the Root of the Earth, and I feel a strong drive to ensure that our Gen Z peers can gain the Throne of Security ASAP in our dorms. Based on my previous experiences with BSU Adobe Ambassadors, New Blerd Order BSU, New Generation Artist Guild, Butch Animators Studios, and BSU Fitness and Recreation, I know how crucial it is for everyone to feel safe and remember their college experience for all the right reasons.
This is about more than just design workshops; it's about empowerment. It's about feeding friends and restoring impact. In a world that can often feel chaotic, this is a moment to learn how to make an impact with what you have. This project is my CĂ©line Dion moment—a testament that That's The Way It Is. It's about taking the passion, the drive, and the community around me and creating something lasting.
Stay tuned for more updates. Let’s build something amazing together.
